*FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE* Cloudtrade Announces Content Partnerships with Indie Labels for Mobile Sharing Platform ANN ARBOR, Michigan—May 9, 2008—In the first of what promises to be many content partner announcements to follow, Cloudtrade, a mobile social media networking company, today announced partnerships with ATO Records and SCI Fidelity Records. ATO Records has long been associated with songwriters, musicians and performers embodying genuine passion and talent, including Ben Kweller, Gomez, The Whigs, and Rodrigo y Gabriela. SCI Fidelity boasts a roster of more than 20 artists, featuring The String Cheese Incident, The Disco Biscuits, Umphrey’s McGee, Railroad Earth and The Greyboy Allstars. Together, along with a handful of other independent artists, Cloudtrade will be offering free music downloads on their mobile sharing application during a three month evaluation period. Until now, sharing on Cloudtrade’s mobile platform was limited to non-copyrighted photos, videos and other documents. However, through this partnership, Cloudtrade is able to offer a starter catalog of free music from two of the preeminent independent record labels in the U.S. during their beta test. Some of the more popular songs that will be available include, “See the World” by Gomez, “I Gotta Move” by Ben Kweller, “In the Kitchen” by Umphrey’s McGee and “V Neck Sweater” by The Greyboy Allstars. These songs, and many others, are available as free downloads to registered Cloudtrade users on their mobile phones. In order to get free music via Cloudtrade, users have to register at www.cloudtrade.com and download the sharing application to their phone. Once logged in, the program is intuitive and easy-to-use. The sharing element of Cloudtrade’s platform embraces social media networking by allowing users to “Cloud Hop” (browse their friends’ Clouds) and “Search the Skies” (search the Cloudtrade community) to discover new content. An additional feature, “Sky Writing”, is a full messaging platform that lets users share content by attaching links to files within messages to their friends. True to concept, Cloudtrade’s sharing platform can be read as “free.” According to Raj Kanapur, CEO of Cloudtrade, “Our market research taught us a valuable lesson in dealing with the next generation of music consumers – wherever possible, we must leverage advertisers’ desire to be in front of consumers on interactive mobile devices and offer a fully ad-supported free model of digital music downloading.” He continues, “It has been inspiring to see many of the most well respected individuals in the music industry step forward and embrace this mobile strategy. We feel lucky to be working with ATO and SCI Fidelity on this project. Aside from being big fans of their artists, we are all excited to be among the first to take this step in the music and wireless industries.” About the Beta Test Register online at www.cloudtrade.com to get your own 1-gigabyte “Cloud,” store your digital content, and start sharing today. The software is, and will always be, completely free. An option to opt-out of advertising will be available for a pay-per-use fee after the beta test is complete.
