*FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE* CloudTrade’s Next-Generation Software Is Destined To Define Our Mobile Millenium ANN ARBOR, Michigan—January 21, 2008—CloudTrade, a mobile technology company, today announced the beta launch of its new software that is destined to define our mobile millennium. The application is designed for any web-enabled mobile phone, allowing for peer-to-peer content sharing. The platform is secure and the sharing mechanism is legal; and best of all, it’s totally free! Today’s launch signals the start of a paradigm shift in the areas of digital content distribution and advertising. For the first time, users will have anytime, anywhere access to their own content, and will soon be able to legally share that content with their friends, for free. Content will no longer be tied to mobile providers, nor will it be locked on specific computers or applications. Through a secure digital storage solution and a robust mobile application, CloudTrade allows users to upload and manage their own content in their “Cloud” via the website and download and share that content directly on their phone. “More and more, mobile phones are becoming portals to consume digital content – from music to photos to videos,” said Raj Kanapur, CEO and co-founder of CloudTrade. “We are focused on building a community that can exchange any type of digital content for free, and we further reward our users for doing so. Our platform provides new revenue streams to content providers and publishers, an attractive medium for advertisers, and increased usage for the carriers. We’re excited about this launch and look forward to hearing from our customers during the beta test.” CloudTrade’s vow to be legal has led to negotiations with major record labels, music publishers and other content providers. The service will be kept free through an innovative advertising platform that promises to be both relevant and engaging without being intrusive. From audio/video shorts to games, CloudTrade gives users a chance to interact with advertisers and accumulate points which can be redeemed for gift cards and other perks, like more storage. Upon registering, each user gets a 1-gigabyte “Cloud” to store all of their digital content. Members access their “Cloud” via the website (www.cloudtrade.com) and can easily upload music, photos, videos and more. Using CloudTrade’s mobile software, users can then download this content to their phone, anytime, anywhere. Given social networking trends, the CloudTrade community is expected to grow rapidly behind a secure, legal sharing platform (scheduled to roll-out in March 2008). This platform, which incorporates “Search/Browse”, networking and messaging functionality, gives users the ability to monetize their content by becoming “content providers” and collecting points for rewards. About the Beta Test The software is, and will always be, completely free. An option to opt-out of advertising will be available for a pay-per-use fee after the beta test is complete.
